Tap

Tap at DSA

Tap dancing offers a range of benefits, including cardiovascular fitness, improved coordination, balance, and agility. The rhythmic patterns enhance cognitive abilities, while the creative expression through percussive sounds adds a unique element. Beyond the physical and mental advantages, tap dance fosters a sense of community, making it a fulfilling and inclusive activity for all ages.

Our classes are offered from P1-P3 (preliminary level) through to adult tap classes for beginners and more experienced tappers.

P1-P3 Tap

Our youngest tap dancers follow the UKADance preliminary syllabi to develop core skills through fun exercises and short routines. Here they are performing their Clowning Around dance!

Junior Tap

Our junior tap classes are based on the early level of the UKADance graded syllabi and pupils can opt to take exams in these.

Senior Tap

Our senior tap classes develop advanced tap technique supported by the UKADance senior syllabi in which pupils can opt for formal assessment.

Adult Tap

Adult tap at DSA is a lot of fun and a great way to keep fit and meet new friends. No experience is expected and therefore complete beginners are very welcome.
