Discover the joy of ballet at Dance St Andrews led by our expert instructors. We offer classes for all ages and skill levels, from preschoolers to professionals. With small class sizes, we focus on safe technique, personalized guidance, and building confidence. Join our vibrant community and experience ballet’s artistry and discipline.
Our preschool pupils attain a strong background in ballet led by our teacher Ella Grace. But we want to create versatile and strong dancers so we include trainings in tap, jazz and Scottish dance once per month.
We support dancers who would like to dance en pointe through extensive pre-pointe training before getting their first shoes once they are physically strong and mature enough.
Preliminary dancers engage with the UKADance preliminary syllabus, which bridges the gap between preschool and more formal graded study.
Our junior ballet programme delivers the early grades of UKADance graded and dance-based syllabi developing focus, alignment, strength and grace. Dancers can opt not to take part in exams and can progress through the levels without formal assessment if they wish.
Our senior ballet programme delivers the more advanced grades in the UKADance syllabus, up to Grade 8. As for our junior pupils, individual dancers can decided whether or not they wish to be formally assessed.
Our professional training programme uses the UKADance major grades syllabus (Pre-elementary to Advanced) and pupils can use these skills for assessment for pre-professional exams for dance school entry and/or for teaching qualifications.
We deliver weekly classes in gentle and more vigorous ballet steps. Our adult dancers join us for fun, exercise and a few of them recently joined us on stage at our summer show where we were delighted to see them!
