We ask all our teachers to apply ten core values when teaching our dance classes.
The nature of dance means that we sometimes have to help pupils adjust positions to aid technical development and keep them safe.
Every dancer matters to us and we want them to be valued. No dancer should ever feel singled out. We never lift someone up by putting another down.
Our feedback always aims to help dancers improve, stay safe and grow. Our dancers' confidence is important to us.
Fun First Approach
We offer vocational training but primarily we offer dancers a fun environment in which to dance.
Inclusivity & Respect
Everyone is welcome and equally valued at DSA irrespective of the journey that brought them to us.
Clear Communication
We aim to give clear and engaging instructions in class using age-appropriate language.
Safe & Supportive Space
Any concerns raised with us, are addressed promptly. If it matter to you, it matters to us.
Your time with us is focued on dance education and performance and appropriate boundaries are maintained at all times.
We aim to arrive on time with our lesson plans well prepared. If we are delayed or there is an issue, we'll let you know.
Happy dancers progress faster. We aim to create an environment where dancers feel a sense of enjoyment whilst they grow and develop.
